The CIJ informs and promotes the public’s right to know through watchdog journalism, adapting traditional journalism’s standards and ethics to the new media landscape. To do this, it encourages whistleblowers and citizen journalists to submit any information and detail that might be of public importance and concern, such as documents, photos, video clips as well as story ideas.
We will do utmost to ensure confidentiality of a source. The confidentiality of source is central to the freedom of speech and ethics of our journalism.
Our aim is to serve the cause of public good by uncovering important stories which are unreported or underreported and reveal, if any, misuse of power, authority, cases of corruption involving public money and to protect the rights of individuals.
Once we receive any information we’ll share with the journalists who will evaluate and pursue leads and content submitted and, if merited, report on these issues.
